SCHOLARSHIPS

We have a limited number of scholarships available to attend the 8th AVG/3rd IMRP Meeting in Singapore, 17-20 September 2025 for attendees from low- and middle-income (LMIC*) countries and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from anywhere in the world.

LMIC Scholars:

Full scholarships for researchers from low- and middle-income (LMIC*) countries are available as an open competition for anyone submitting an abstract. Click here to view the World Bank Classification.  The Local Organizing Committee will evaluate applications.

The scholarships will include:

  • Return economy airfare (booked by designated travel company)
  • 4-5 nights' hotel accommodation (depending on distance travelled)
  • Complimentary registration fee

Please click on the link below to begin your application and please note that if all the requested documentation is not submitted, your application will be rejected. One application per registrant. Please submit all necessary documents by the abstract submission deadline date.

*All LMIC researchers must provide documentation of working in a LMIC as defined by the World Bank List. Documentation accompanying your application should contain the same name and surname as in your abstract.

Early Career Researchers:

ECRs from other countries (see definition below) may also apply for a limited number of partial scholarships which will include complimentary conference registration and may or may not include some travel support.  As with full scholarships, these are also subject to submitting an abstract which is accepted for either oral or poster presentation.

Early Career Researchers are defined as individuals who have a maximum of 8 years (whole-time equivalent) of professional experience following the completion of their highest academic degree (e.g., PhD, MD, Master of Public Health) or equivalent. This does not include those who have completed Habilitation. The intent is to include individuals with advanced degrees and significant post-degree experience in research, public health, clinical, or related fields. When assessing eligibility, ISIRV will consider reasonable concessions or accommodations (e.g. those who have worked part-time and have taken career breaks) on a case-by-case basis to ensure equitable participation and opportunity.
